Gibson Custom Shop banjo, circa 1994. Maple wood with what I think is Argentine gray finish, as used on style 6 banjos. Hearts & Flowers inlay. Gold sparkle binding on neck and resonator. Gold plated metal parts. The label is signed by Nick Kimmons. The gold plating is nice except for the expected wear on the armrest. The Gibson Custom Shop label is on the back of the peghead. When we got this banjo it had lots of fret wear and a few places where the fingerboard was worn. We sent the neck to John Ramsey, who completely refret it. The case is original; it has lots external marks, and the padding around the handle is off (but in the case). This is a really neat banjo, and I imagine very few were made like it.
