This interesting banjo has gold plated, unengraved metal parts, which is standard for the model, and a flathead ring. The one piece flange is in nice condition, as is the entire banjo. The 5th string tuner has been replaced, and there are tiny holes on the side of the neck, where a sliding capo had been mounted. The neck was modified, probably in the 1980s, by Bill Godfrey, who reshaped the peghead and replaced the fingerboard with one having Florentine Special inlay. There is only light wear on the first three frets. It has a pickup attached.
